Breakfast opening weekend at Polly's Pancake Parlor with friends who then hung out for awhile at our house with their four kids so all the kids were busy. That allowed for a few moments of uninterrupted grown-up conversation enjoying the sunshine on the deck. After that J got to putter around in the yard, make a Home Depot run, and get the lawn tractor running which after a winter of not one single weekend day at home, hit the spot. Topped off the day with a dinner of sushi (for him, not me!) and sticky toffee pudding with vanilla gelato.

Happy birthday J! 40 is not old. It's the new 30. Hope it was a great day!
