Small update from Guatemala since yesterday, and of course it is not good news. The doctor's report that Jason chased down when he was there in early April, that was then pulled and re-written by our attorney and submitted only to be rejected by the judge and re-written again by the same doctor has now been sent by the court to their forensic psychiatrist to determine the birth mother's ability to relinquish this child. Run on sentence for a run on and on and on and on process. This is what PGN and FC #6 have been trying to determine for almost 2 years now. A court appointed psychiatrist interviewed the birthmomther in March of 2007 for this very same reason. Over a year ago, and now they are asking for the same thing?!?! Add to this redundancy the fact that this miserable adoption agency is asking for more money (again) above and beyond our contract amount to keep Ali in foster care. Supposedly the big chumk we paid in April was to cover all the foster care fees from when the agency ran out of money til now. It is not our fault they are going under and could probably go to jail for some of the things they've done on several cases since we began working with them. I have had it with them and with this wait.
Please may our LOSC/LOA arrive this week so we can at least look forward to bringing Chloe home soon.
