Weekend at the mountain

I tried to upload videos from our weekend of the kids in action, but it won't work. So all you get are stills. #1 entered the Tranworld Snowboarding slopestyle competition on Saturday, and we have great video from that. He looked great! It was all ages, winner takes all, so the top guys were doing triple flips & such. It was a good experience for #1 though and he did some tricks taht he didn;t think he'd be able to do when it began.

Cupcake had her maiden voyage on skis yesterday which was fun. She loves to be outside no matter how blustery or cold it is. The littlest boots we have are twice the length of her foot, but she loved them and insisted on walking all the way to the car when she was all done in the giant ski boots. And our smallest helmet practically cvers her entire face, but that didn't seem to bother her either. The happiest she was all weekend, other than when eating out, was on her skis. She went up the lift with J and made one run down and then played around on her skis next to the bottom of the lift for awhile.

#2 and The Spark both skied and snowboarded too. They are doing so well this season. Last year it was touch and go with both of them. They both prefered to sip hot cocoa in the lodge or stay home altoghether, but this year they both want to be out on the mountain even on really cold days. And their skiing & riding are improving so fast.
