Happy tenth birthday, #1! This was him seconds after we met. I remember the relief of that moment. Relief that he was perfect and relief that 29 hours of labor was over. There is certainly nothing like the birth of a first child. And this morning in all his bouncing excitment to be TEN and open presents he crawled in bed with us at 6:10 and tried to lay still and wait until a reasonable time to try waking me again. When this kid is happy, his joy permeates and fills the whole house.Monday, January 25, 2010
