Last of the Summer Pics

Two more days til school starts. Got back from Maine last night. Trying to unpack and organize and restock and get ready for Monday morning. Zippy gets to try a new diet for the next two weeks which will add to the excitement. Supposedly he might be lacking the enzymes that help break down gluten and dairy which would explain why he can eat a lot and not grow much. So, two weeks gluten and dairy free while taking enzyme supplements will hopefully help build up the enzymes he needs in his system. Then he can eat what he wants again while still taking the supplements.

In other health news, Princess Eee and Cupcake both had well checks and Princess Eee's BMI is now down to teetering on the upper edge of the healthy zone! Yippie! Pediatrician was happy about that, as are we. Her height is catching up to her weight, or I should say her weight is becoming more in proportion with her height. 80th %tile for height and down to 85th for weight now. She did, however, "fail" her hearing test. That might explain why she seems to always be yelling. Dr. was not overly concerned since lots of kids at her age, I guess, peeter out toward the end of the test for one reason or another. I don't know how many of those other kids have birth mothers who went deaf around age four though. She goes back this coming week for a do-over, so we'll see how she does then.

Cupcake's Dr. visit was uneventful. The only surprising thing was that she is in the 50th %tile for height! Way at the bottom for weight since she is still a skinny little thing, but right on average for height even though she looks so tiny still.
