No more cast

Princess Eee's arm is healed enough to be cast free, and she is cleared for any and all activity she wants. It still has a little bend in it where one of the bones is realigning itself, but the difference in that realignment from 3 weeks ago to yesterday is amazing. The bone is just growing new bone where it needs to and I have no idea what the real word for it is but ungrowing where there doesn't need to be bone anymore. We go back in 2 months. She is still mostly using her left arm/hand out of habit and probably some fear that the right one will still hurt if she does too much with it. We kept reminding her yesterday that she could hold her fork with her right hand again. Then later she was doing flips in the playroom with Zippy, and she declared, "Look, Mommy! No cast. Si flips!" I think it'll strengthen up again in no time.

In case any readers are thinking we must have tons of snow because the weather people keep talking about this big east coast snowstorm, I think everywhere else in New England has tons of snow. As in even a few miles from here. We have gotten rain, wind, and more rain. It snowed like crazy for about 30 minutes today and it finally looked like it should at the end of February, but then it rained some more and the new snow is gone. At least we have power. Many of our close neighbors do not. Ski resorts were closed today because they had no power to run the lifts, but not where the boys go. They did not have any electricity either so the base lodge was closed, dark, and not serving food, but they ran a few lifts with diesel so the boys still got to snowboard. In deep, fresh snow.
