We do love our non-adopted kids too

This is mostly supposed to be a blog about our current adoptions, but we are an international family that also has home grown USA kids in too. So lest #1 should feel left out, here are two clips from his stellar performance at an area track meet yesterday. None of the schools around us are even close to big enough to actually offer track as a regular spring sport, but there is an annual YMCA meet every May. Our local elementary school age kids practice 4 times for 1 hour each session and then compete. So #1 gets to race and "train" with the public elementary school since his little school doesn't have enough kids for a team. He's been in training for track since he was in utero (his legs have not stopped since) so we're very happy that he gets to shine at events like this.

The relay with 4 kids on a team. Our #1 runs last in the third lane, red shorts, on this clip.
