Yep. It's been weeks since my last entry and still no news whatsoever to report. In Guatemala the forensic psychiatrist of the court still has yet to issue his report on the ENT doctor's report of the birthmother's condition. Um...she's still deaf guys. So when that report is written someday, then the judge can supposedly make her final decision on our case. We've heard that 3 or 4 times now, and she always comes up with something else to delay making a final decision. In other Guate adoption news, our agency for Guatemala did not receive Hague accredidation nor did they bother to let us, their longest in-process family, know about this critical fact. We should be grandfathered in as an old case with them anyway, but it was annoying to read about it third hand.
And in China...I have NO idea what is taking so long to issue our LOA. So much for receiving it in May. So much for June. People looged in over a month after us are being told by their agencies that they'll travel in September, but that is probably the soonest we can travel at this point, and we sent in our dossier in March! We do hope to get another update on Tao Jiao any day now though. If nothing else it will be nice to hear how she's doing. It will, however, be even harder to wait for the LOA if we get the update first.
Dare I even think the thought that MAYBE my next blog entry will contain some real news???????
