Cupcake's 1st trip to Maine

Cupcake had her first trip to Maine over the long weekend. Despite a few tears and shrieks during the car rides (way less than a couple of our other children subjected us to when they were toddlers), she had a blast. After she figured out that the beach sand and dried seaweed was okay to walk on and even fall down in, she loved the beach. She slept well in her crib there, and charmed the few locals that we actually ran into during our stay. It was a beautiful, quiet, fall weekend. I don't think we'll take the dogs again until the kids are a little bigger though. Dealing with (and paying for) the ferry with 4 kids and two dogs + #1's bike with only two people who can actually be counted on to carry anything was a handful. When Iker is not a full grown dog with the toddler brain of a puppy, maybe he'll be allowed to go again.

Here are some pics from the weekend...

I'm sure The Spark will have REALLY perfected this look by the time she's a teenager!

Cupcake's first boat ride! She loved it on the way out, but after lunch at Bailey Island, it was naptime, and it had gotten windy. Not so psyched on the ride back, but no pics of that part.
And our captain...

Cupcake decided to give big bro #2 some lovin' this weekend and plopped down on his lap whenever he sat down long enough. He ate it up, of course.
And for anyone wondering about the latest news from the most corrupt government in Central America, as of yesterday (Monday) the doctor's report was STILL not at the court. A week and a half so far to move a few sheets of paper from one building to another. It would not surprise me one bit to find out that the "forensic institute" is the building next door to FC #6, and that no one can seem to manage getting the report from one place to the other. The worry in it taking so long is that it has this much more time to get lost. Maybe today it'll get to our file?!?!?!?!?
