After seeing Brie's and Emma's pigtails, I just had to try. She even left them in long enough for me to snap a couple photos. She kept running away from teh camera though, so big brother #1 came to my aid.

Too bad this so over-exposed b/c she was having such a blast running down the hall into The Spark's room tonight at bedtime.

We went down to Concord today for Cupcake's pediatric opthamologist appointment, and all is well. They can't tell a whole lot at her age, but it was amazing how much the doctor could tell just by dilating her eyes. It took two tries, of course, because she put up such a fight allowing the drops in, and then her eyes are SO dark that the assistant-person couldn't really tell if her pupils were dilated or not. We got it done though and with less screaming by Cupcake than at other doctor appointments she's been through. All the potential concerns about her eyes due to her torticollis have been ruled out. We'll take her back in two years for another check when she can "read" the chart, etc. We got so lucky with this "special need" of hers that I have to pinch myself sometimes.

No word from Guatemala. Surprise, surprise!
