cold, beautiful, icy Saturday

I don't know why the Elf thing-y didn't work if you checked the blog yesterday. Oh well. I removed it.

Today was a beautiful, cold, sunny day and thanks to Friday's weather, all the trees were sprakling in their new ice coats. We went to "the mountain" for a new member reception for #1's snowboard prgram. Lots of nice families and #1 has made some good friends already. He entered his first snowboarding competition today and was really nervous even about signing up. All his buddies did it too though so that helped. He said he was really nervous until he got to the start, and then he wasn't nervous at all- just excited. He had a blast, but thought he didn't do very well. The judges thought differently though and he won! We have video so maybe we can upload some. He was so happy + he won new goggles which is good news for me & J who now do not have to buy him new goggles since Iker chewed his old ones.

Oh, and Ali's birthmother signed whatever needed signing yesterday, so we are getting closer!!
