We did it. We found time to go get a Christmas tree. All it took was #1 missing a day of his snowboarding program because J was up all night fighting a fire in the next town over and not home when it was time to head to the mountain. I s'pose I could have dragged all 4 kids back there again, but then there was the issue of J having taken the car with the rocket box with all the gear in it. Anyway, J was home by about 10a.m. and it was the perfect and only time to go pick out a tree and cut it down in daylight. #1 picked it all by himslef since the others were all too busy throwing snowchunks at each other to care. The tree is drying out after thawing out in the garage, so maybe tonight we'll bring it in and decorate. That part at least can be done in the dark.
