Town X-mas Party

We saw Santa tonight! Our little town had its 107th or thereabouts annual Christmas party tonight, and Mr. Claus always makes an appearance bringing a gift for each child. Cupcake did better than we expected. She sat reasonably quietly through all the other kids' turns. (It helped a lot that our friend sitting next to her had goldfish crackers and was in a very generous mood for a three year old.) I carried her up to Santa for her turn and while she didn't want to get any closer to the big guy, she didn't scream or cry.

trying to get a photo of Cupcake in her dressed up coat but as usual she squatted down.

Our four ready to go see Santa at the town X-mas party.

Remember the snowmen guys that St. Nick brought? Here they are this week...

As for doings in Guate: by the end of this week our file should be in RENAP (Registario Nacional de las Personas) where Ali will be issued a new birth certificate with us listed as her parents and her last name as Kern. This step can take anywhere from 8 days to 8+ weeks, and the holidays won't speed it up any.

Everybody looks so cute in their holiday gear. Love the chia eggs - too funny. Your snowboarders will be jealous we are expecting 7-12 inches of snow tonight. Glad I don't have to shovel :)

Merry Christmas!

Tracy
